Default PL Games Overseas

FIFA has ‘begun’ process to allow league matches overseas. Game is gone.

Surprised it hasn't come sooner. NFL games have been taking part here since 2007. They started off as just 1 game but they've had as many as 4 in one season here. Their season is only 16-20 games, with at most 11 being at home.
MLB also started playing here in 2019.
Logistically it's absolutely no problem. Fixture-wise is another matter. The PL doesn't get bye weeks & of course you have European comps taking place mid-week to consider.
NFL teams were encouraged to give up a home game to play overseas by getting $1 mill & also being told they had to do it if they wanted their stadiums considered to host a Superbowl. I'm sure they lost more than $1 mill by not having a home game.
Also it's going to interesting to see which teams get picked to play over there. Who's going to want to see Brentford v Forest?
The US has a professional league already & the skill of those teams is a lot closer to our PL teams than the skill gap between NFL teams & the best UK based American Football teams you can go to see.
The Spanish seem to like the idea. Let those £#%&!ers run with it & hopefully it will die a death before they start trying it with PL teams.

It’s stuff like this that puts me off the game more than VAR tbh.

If we get a decent riot out of it it's worth it.

To be fair there's not enough money in the game so I can see why they'd want to play games abroad to bring in more revenue.

I can't wait for the day the Premier league spontaneously combusts. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Rugby currently trying it - I can see the players and clubs kicking off given the impact on their schedules which are already tight. Big questions about who gets the revenue. At least the US streams are decent.

A champions league game is obvious.

We’ll flog the Charity Shield off first to some £#%&!y oil state or America. They won’t go the whole hog.
