sherwood deserves credit for keeping villa up when they looked in freefall, but they've finished the season poorly and were abysmal today. big test for him next season; little to suggest he's anything more than a firefighter so far.

Ffs, this could have been us if it wasn't for that @#%&! Valencia.

Would have been quality seeing Big Louis at Wembley. El Tigre's farewell, Argentina flags and Wazzoh lifting his first trophy as captain.

Doesn't matter they were beaten by a far better team. Shame it wasn't the dippers for Stevie Gs birthday as the result would have been the same

didn't hear why arsenal went without a striker, but just shows how well it can work and what exciting football it can lead to

makes doggedly sticking with a rigid lone striker even if he hardly gets a kick and you're creating less chances than the worst teams in the league seem a bit of an odd philosophy tbh

Tbf, Arsenal started the game with two strikers.

You obviously haven't grasped the difference between a striker and a centre-forward.

sorry precious, didn't intend to shatter your illusions

btw, in case you didn't notice when LVG actually did try and switch it around - di maria through, or even fellaini through - the critics were on his back in a flash. sounds like you were one of them :shakehead:

Apparently it was Van Gaal's fault.

Rightly so

It was standard practice back in the day to have a parade after winning something

Pisses me off we didn't have one parade between 99 and 2011
