He can't even say sorry without using 4 words where one will do. Christ I hope they don't sack him

He also went out of his way to mention how bad the first half was. After his tactical adjustments, you see, Liverpool conceded only one. Even tho Stoke clearly took their foot off the pedal.

And clearly gave Gerrard a sympathetic retirement gift.

I doubt it. The Liverpool owners supposedly don't like Rodgers and he needed a big finish to the season to keep his job. Apparently, they feel no desire to show him loyalty because they know he applied for the city job when Liverpool manager. I'd imagine they were on the phone to klopp weeks ago. He only keeps his job if they can't get the replacements they want.

Not had such a good chuckle at the final day since the berts got battered 8-1 by Boro. A billion quid later and they still can't beat them.

“Absolutely I have always said if the owners want me to go, I go it is as simple as that. But I still feel I have a lot to offer here,”
A typically stupid statement as if he decides. What they want to sack him but he tops up every morning and goes into his office until they change the locks.

Swansea won the Carling Cup the season after he left. I bet the house his CV tries to take some credit for it

"judge me after 3 years"

"Players like Joe Allen go for £40m these days"

"We play with 11 men, other teams play with 10 men and a goalkeeper"

"You can live without water for many days, but you can't live for a second without hope"

"My biggest mentor is myself"

"If you spend more than £100m, you expect to be challenging for the league"

"We are seeing now the player we all know Liverpool had (Glen Johnson) – which is one of the best full-backs in the world.”

"Defending is easy"
