Mitten is actually a parody of himself these days.

He’s either talking about attending the absolutely massive ‘Porcupine Derby’ in Eastern Azerbaijan or reminiscing about sharing a slush ice with Luke Chadwick in Tanzania.

Apparently Klopp has invented this new thing called ‘full-backs’. Sounds crazy.

Who needs to read a match report now every game is on the tv for you to see yourself? The rest is gossip and some herbert’s opinion for clicks. Sports journalism is worthless and defunct.

Backing up what Jammy has said, the only problem with this post is that the bolded word is redundant.

46 lay-offs, can’t blame falling advertising revenues.

Maybe it's the fact their football coverage is terrible. Michael Cox wrote an article the other day about how poor Keane was in Turin in 99.

8% of their total staff though it seems all from from their US Sports departments. That Cox article was embarassing, showed his true colours in the comments, begrudgingly said Keane was a "very good player", surprised he didn't follow it up with Zidane had an alright touch.

Feel a bit for the United journos, clearly being forced to crank out article after article, they had an interview recently with the kid who had the Rooney sign on his debut

In fairness they probably couldn't have anticipated having literally no sport to write about

Got a year in the black friday deal or something... maybe it was like £20?

The interviews are ok, the recent one with hererroh being an example.... but yeah, not a chance i'd be paying full price for it.

It's hard to think of many news sites that have made the paywall work. Not sure why they keep trying it to be honest. This was doomed from the start.

You have to have a very niche and respected offering, led by the highest quality journalism.

Neither of which, I would imagine, is offered by the Athletic.
