Songhoy Blues and Snapped Ankles at the Southbank last night, the final show of Nile Rodgers’ Meltdown.

Snapped Ankles were superb; traces of Devo, The Fall, Neu! and techno with a great art-school presentation.

Songhoy Blues were a bit meh, guitarist excellent, frontman very poor. Left before the end.

Evening made more pleasurable by leaving for the show as the final whistle went. Wimbledon was full of pissed off looking Chelsea fans coming out of the pubs, gave me a spring in my step

Noticed Big Niles commented on your Ig post as well

Be With Records double hit last week.

Californian Yacht Rock Supremo Ned Doheny at the Jazz Cafe on Monday was ace, followed by ex skate pro turned downtempo head nodder Tommy Guerrero at the same venue on Friday. Also great.
