Rojo is a card risk but that personality is needed. Starts for me.

He’s never actually been sent off tbf. Treads the nutter line. Refs see it as personality

Oh don't get me wrong, pal. I wish it was Blind pairing with someone like Alderweireld or Van Dijk looking to play football.

But snapping back into the reality of who we have got and how we play, he'll do for me as someone who is decisive and assertive.

Look how subtlety he did that, though. Impossible for the ref to see in real time

Yes.

But the fact he wasn't sent off disguises what a liability he was, which was the point.

Surely it's him being good that disguises what a liability he was

I don't reckon forwards relish playing against Rojo. He's far from a world-beater but he's not as bad as you lads make out.

It's more the perception of him Tbf mate.

I don't think he's much better or worse than most of our shit centre backs. He just seems to get an easier ride because he's all action.

Smalling has given us much more reliability down the years but gets far more abuse.

There's also the fact he's injured so much that we tend to romanticize what a good player he is. It's only once he's back and giving away penalties and own goals like confetti that you realise how dangerous he is.

One of about ten players who isn't good enough, can't be relied upon and needs shipping out asap.
