But whatever.
In fairness, that kid is on another level to rashford. Not sure what rashford's ceiling is. I've never been convinced it is much greater than what has been shown thus far.

But obviously that doesn't matter.
They didn't look that adventurous against the dippers.

He'll be here a lot longer than your boy. Maybe then you'll start judging him fairly

Regardless of what his ceiling is mate, his continual inclusion in the first team and this almost cult-like worship of him is symptomatic of how far our standards have dropped.

20 years ago you used to have to be Ryan Giggs to get 100 odd appearances by the age of 20. Now you just have to be young and from manchester and apparently that'll do. No consistency of performance required, no need for goals, or assists, or really doing anything constructive on a regular basis.

Nope. Manchester United's standards have plummeted so far that players can literally just turn up, produce pretty much nothing and there's an avalanche of excuses waiting for them thanks to the "rashettes" online.

You know what? I can't wait for Mourinho to be sacked so we can see who else is going to be to blame for poor old Marcus having a head like a £#%&!ing 20p.

You mean when they started M'Bappe, Di Maria and Neymar, none of whom bother defending?

He can't play on the wing because he can't dribble. Can't play up front because he can't hold the ball up or finish with any level of consistency.

He's played far too many games. Should be an impact sub at best.

Cheer up. Greenwood will probably be taking his place before too long.

Yeah as in we should literally throw the @#%&! at opposition. Preferably from the top of the north stand.

His standards? 4th, 5th and an FA Cup were good enough for you.

4th patently was good enough that year.

Never said 5th was good enough. Obviously 6th was the following season...

We really need the next bloke to be universally accepted for the good of the forum

Your position was that he shouldn't have been fired though no? Despite CL qualification clearly being the minimum required in the job?

Not really, no. Even though I thought he got a hard time off the fans and horrific luck, I didn't complain about him being sacked.

I do think standards have slipped further since then. I mean LvG was hated when United were comfy in the top 2-3 places.
