he was a great player just like a nervous pigeon hovering around a park bench looking for crumbs is a great hunter.

He wasn't though was he?

He was surrounded by really good players.

He was an average Joe at best.

Not convinced by this unsurprisingly, but it shows Ole is happy with what he has got already.

Fletcher has only just begun coaching so will have little new or radical to offer, hopefully he’s good at defensive organisation.

Insignificant in terms of improving the overall running of the club where ex player/ football appointments are most needed.

We’d have spanked Barca in 09 if he was there or at least drawn the game 8-8.

Should get Rooney back to coach the forwards while we’re at it.

Last I was aware, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher do not share some kind of innovative hive mind brain sharing technology, and are in fact, different people entirely.

Some embarrassing shit posted here

Club legend. Great mentality and intelligence. Touted all through his career by Fergie as having everything to be a top manager and it’s clear to see why from the little tv stuff he’s done, and obviously the strength of character he showed throughout his career. Some sense of club identity is what’s getting us back from the wilderness and this is exactly what the club should be doing.

Amen browser. Doesn’t fit the agenda of some fans 🤣🤣. As he doesn’t do silly dances use the club have a @#%&! as an agent , perform when he can be arsed , and let you que up behind him going in a nightclub.

Love fletch

Comes across very well in interviews and punditry.

More fletch and less grealish is the right way forward

So because he wasn't a worldie he won't be an innovative coach? There is no correlation.

He comes across as bright and thoughtful but also has the right values. Clearly Ole rates him given he could choose from a big field.

We need both IMO. More and more convinced that Grealish is the one player that would make the biggest difference to us at the moment. He’s a flash @#%&! but so was beckham. Strong character and a leader; precisely the kind of qualities that other talented players we’ve banked on over the last few years (pogba, di maria most obviously) have lacked. What makes Bruno so standout.

He's not back for his coaching acumen. He's back because he won stuff with United and knows "the United Way." That's what Ole has been banging the drum about since he came in. Ole wants everything around the club to be the same as it was in the Fergie heyday. It hasn't much to do with tactics, more to do with ethos imo.
