Winning ugly.

Played much better second half, far more forceful, bullied Spurs out of it, midfield pushed up, Rashers ran his legs off, Young dominated his side. De Gea had very little to do throughout the match.

Special shout to Bailly, just back from injury, big ask.

We're not playing badly, we're playing the way Mourinho sets us up to.

It just looks bad.

Aside from the tactics, the individual performances have been piss poor. Lukaku missing in yet another big game, Henrikh Chickenshitaryan reeking more and more of an Arsenal bottle job, and Ander Herrera once again making a lot of noise, waving a lot of arms, but having absolutely zero influence on the running of the game.

Rubbish.

Players need to take a lot of the responsibility for how shit that half was, Lukaku being a lazy £#%&!er or Herrera being Herrera or Mikki turning into the invisible man isn't down to Mourinho

Quality second half that, we took the game to them, made them look poor. Great performance from Rashers, Lukaku started to beast them as the game wore on, great flick on for the goal from Martial and Matic, what a great signing he is.

This in a nutshell. And we all knew the deterioration would happen the moment he got injured. Don’t understand the over the top reaction to it.

Had to win and we did

By god it wasn’t pretty but at least we we’re so passive 2nd half and got after Spurs

Can’t say I’ll ever agree with this approach by Jose in big games
Seemed appropriate that we won it with a long ball flick on

Yep

As Armers said, two very good sides out there. Was never going to be pretty, but the most important thing was the three points.
