He’s still only 18 tbf

Didn’t have the best game but bagged an assist and looked confident throughout. He’s going to be a star imo and we need to make him a priority over the next couple of years.

Yeah but can we afford to have him, Martial and Rashford leading our attack? Will we be patient enough while we watch Liverpool and City battle it out for £#%&!ing everything till these lads become the real deal.

Yeah I get what you’re saying and agree. it would definitely take patience like you say. Martial is 23 so should be stepping it up, with Lukaku added to the rotation too I’d be happy to let Sancho grow into the role tbh.

Most people moaned when we were linked with a 27 yr old Perisic, but it was evident we needed established players at the time. I think we have to keep faith in Martial and Rashford now and play them as much as possible and if we have the chance to sign this kid we’d be mad not to take it imo.

Maybe look at out of contract established players over the next couple of seasons too to help bridge the gap?

Nicolas Pepe would cost half as much and be twice as good.
