His self-confidence is incredible and it is definitely an inspiration to other youngsters to follow. He could have stayed at City and collected a medal for five appearances but instead he's ventured out of his comfort zone and out of his country to develop and earn a medal hopefully in May.
It shows the fallacy in England because managers will defend themselves by saying you have to earn your place in training. But the reality is at City Sancho could have been skinning Kyle Walker Monday-Friday but be left out of the team on the Saturday because price tags dictate pecking order. At United he can thrive because he has the superstar ability with his way of dribbling past opponents and creating havoc, his final ball is excellent for his age and he has that #@&%!sure attitude. He knows how good he is and there are plenty of fantastic young players who have talent but no belief when it comes to the step up. This kid is exceptional in that regard. |
