Just seen the paper thing on SSN. One paper, think it was the Express says Madrid will offer Ronaldo 300k a week and Barca have entered the race.

I'm now starting to believe he will be staying 'cos it's just getting silly now. I honestly do not believe Madrid could afford a huge transfer fee and 300k a week.

What does Marca say? And is anyone else really starting to build an intolerance for all things Spanish?

Irrespective of what happens now the lad has tarnished his reputation and even if he does stay, he will be for ever be looked at through wary eyes by the fans. He craves adulation and you ahve got to ask if he will ever get that from the fans given the way in which he has behaved and/or kept his silence whilst the media %@#$&!s has persisted.

United and the fans deserve better given what he has achieved as a direct result of both.

Maybe it's better, as Fuzzy suggests, if he goes and we get replacements in who are committed to the club?

I agree or maybe it's modern day footballers and we just have to deal with it.

I don't remember anyone else doing what he's playing at (with United). Ruud might have been on the way out but at least he didn't play the media attention game, and becks did it behind closed doors if you believe what you hear.

I feel like I'm repeating myself.

EDIT: Gabriel Heinze is an exception.
