Darmian at least did one or two decent things today but McNair looks out of his depth as a defender pretty much every time he comes on.

Blind is a hexagonal peg in a round hole.
Darmian should be like Smalling, a specialist in his proper role - when he's not being slung in at left back, centre back...

Darmian was excellent when he first arrived. Needs to be played consistently at right back or we will have another Jones situation.

Even though we are desperate for goals, l think a ball playing centre back is our top priority in Jan. For all Smalliings improvements defensively, he is still absolutely woeful on the ball. We need a calming influence in there to partner him and steady the ship at the back.
