Really?

After watching them in the Confederations, i thought they looked a bit shit at times. Robinho, Kaka and Fabiano are not in the same class as Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Ronaldo were in their hay.

Yes, along with the "which Manchester United player shall we blame this time?" game.

Italians will really really struggle, aging squad, lack of pace etc. (They'll win it no doubt so save this for "BTTING")

I thought Fabiano looked very dangerous. Good player imo.

I don't really follow international football but you can't discount Brazil, even if they're not a patch on what they were yesteryear

Didn't David Seaman get blamed in 2002 and Nicky Butt got Englands player of the tournament?

But the Brazil team of 1982 were one of the best teams of all time, and didn't get past the quarters? Not all about being the best ever, just being able to beat your opponents.

Going to be a character building experience for Danny Wellbeck by the looks of things.

Yes.
I hope England win the next World Cup.

A) Because I'm English & it'd be great to see an England team lift the World Cup in my lifetime.

&

B) Because our best players (Rio, Wazza, Carrick, Hargreaves, Wes) will be in the England squad.

Not for me, will be hoping they lose. Won't really be supporting anyone else, possibly the teams i bet on or whoever plays the best football.

hoping all the United lads come through not too tired and unscathed for the season start.

not Top Red just the way i feel. not just for the JT/Gerrard point mentioned but for the sheer out of the woodwork fervour that grips the country.

I'd love it if Rooney dragged us through, he's the only way they would or could win it. He'll inevitably get an injury just before the tournament though.

England will have a defence equal to pretty much any other side in the tournament, a midfield that might lack a bit of imagination but if they can free Gerrard & Rooney would get a reasonable chance. If limited but tactically well set-up teams can get to CL semi-finals year in year out I don't see why an international side with the same can't go well. Greece won a tournament with that exact set-up, Italy weren't a million miles away from it either. Club football is infinitely better in regards to the football played & the collective of talent in the same starting XI.

My tip would be France if they got shot of Dommenech. He is a £#%&!ing crackpot & idiot extrodinaire but they have some superb footballers who will be maturing nicely in time for next Summer... if only they played the right starting XI.

Fabiano would be a great signing if we can't get King Karim.

Quality striker who scores goals goals goals.

His attitude is questionable, and im overall suprised alot of bigger clubs have not been linked with him because he's been clinical for 3/4 years now.

Top nutter

Quote:
During a 2003 Copa Sudamericana match for São Paulo against River Plate of Argentina, a fight between the players broke out. Fabiano ran behind a River player and kicked him just below the neck. While being escorted off the field, Fabiano said that "he would rather attack an Argentine than take a penalty"[2]He was given a three-match ban from all competitions.
