Shaw might just be £#%&!ed when Ole goes back to a four back system

If he has any sense he won't....

Where does he stand now? Job done in terms of massively upgrading the left back spot, just probably not in the way he’d hoped.

Could give us an option to go 3-5-2 I guess, with Shaw playing left of the three, but he’s been decent going forward as well so you’d lose that, and there’s still no obvious candidate for wing back on the right. I can’t imagine he’ll be happy for long riding the bench.

He’s not that good if we’re honest, other than at crossing. Far inferior footballer to Sheezy.

Who'd have thought a bargain basement,£14m quid, 28 year old signing wouldn't be that great eh?

He's decent squad filler, nothing more.

At least we didn't pay nearly £30m for Reguilon to sit on the bench.

Yep and the whole strategy has worked perfectly as Shaw is back to being the best lb in the league by some distance. Shaw is a top drawer player.

his crossing and overall weight of pass is top class imo, if we were a bit more adventurous i could see him being used as a sub further forward, as a sort of makeshift left winger or something

as a fullback Shaw is better but it’s only his first season in the Prem, when he gets a bit stronger next season i think he’ll kick on and challenge for the starting spot.

I think he’s been good tbh

Adds depth to the squad + didn’t cost the world and would probably walk into most first teams in the league. The signing has also given Shaw the kick up the arse he needed too.

This.

Mayve it's Shaw making him look worse because he has been so good.

He gives it away with his passes inside a lot.

he's been well worth the money just to have a competent back up for Shaw and give him a bit of competition

Would be a mistake imo

Good back up to Shaw and would mean Williams would again be our back up now that Southampton have apparently cooled their interest.

They've asked for him on loan apparently, while their LB is out injured. United have said no.

No chance we let him go IMO, Williams is clearly not close to the required level yet, even as back up.

He's in danger of becoming the next Romero.

Way too good to be sat on the bench all the time but is unlikely to get many games.

Something amusing in Jose wanting to sign Shaw's back-up.

I’d consider a team with both of them in it on occasion.
