Of course. He's an utter irrelevance. I'd rather have Welbeck than the @#%&!.

Apart from anything else, this is an ideal game to drop him for.

I genuinely think the few pro rooney heads are now trolling. There is no other explanation.

drop him, put mata/hezza behind martial or stop playing like a bitch LDV and have two up top.

rooney played better ( he couldn't of been any worse ) when moved to the left v arse.

fear LVG will use depays form as excuse and move rooney to the left where his turd form will be less noticeable.

He should be dropped as we shouldn't be playing this formation (IMO).

Stick Herrera & Schneiderlin alongside Basti or Carrick, get a front three going of a combination of Depay, Martial, Mata or Young where appropriate, even Perriera, and build from there.

Rotate Martial with Rooney, everyone's a winner.

I would play him against everton if he doesn't play for england.

or, at least, I would tell him that til the morning of the game.

If he were anyone else he would have been dropped ages ago. Van Gaal ovbiously likes him, but this is about performances not personality.

I would argue it is reasonable for rooney not to play against everton simply on the basis that he never turns up for it.

however, whilst rooney arguably doesn't deserve to be on the team on current form (although his bad form is exaggerated on here), there are a few others who don't really either. what is the point of playing memphis ahead of rooney.... on current form?

and, whilst mata is playing well, does he even fit in the team?

I'd be happy with martial playing up front on his own, more or less, if anyone played quick balls behind the defence. but that is not our style.
