He's a very ordinary midfielder. Argentina's central midfield is really ordinary, none of them are good enough for United. Only Mashcherano is world class, but he's a almost a center back.
He's like Freddy Guarin, Gaitain, Garay and Cavani. Forever linked with us, but extremely ordinary player and never good enough.
From Sports Witness, who are extremely meticulous and generally reliable.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday have a piece on the future of Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia. He's told the press over the past couple of days that just because he's wearing Lazio's captain armband, it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be at the club next season. Biglia's comments certainly won't go down too well with fans of the Italian club but it is what it is and football is simply like that these days.
Gazzetta dello Sport go on to say that Biglia may have missed his big chance at a transfer. The Italian newspaper claim Manchester United over the past few weeks made a bid for Biglia of €25m. That works out to be not too far under £18m, and Gazzetta say Manchester United were turned away.
It was expected that the Premier League club would return, but they didn't. And whilst it doesn't perfectly fit in with Gazzetta's timeline, they say Manchester United went on to secure other midfield targets instead of Biglia, so the Argentine missed perhaps the biggest chance of his career.
SportMediaSet say Biglia still has that opportunity because Manchester United remain interested in signing the player. Such a move would clearly be a surprise given the signings already made by Louis van Gaal this summer. Not only would a midfielder not be a priority, one wouldn't be needed at all.
