First time since Moyes' first game against Swansea in 2013.

It's great to be back.

Fully wrong. Would have liked no Rooney though

League tables don't officially count until 3 games in, IIRC. So the first time since Frogson

Had a relatively easy start tbf, and arguably should have taken all available points.

The run of fixtures next month will give us a clearer indication as to whether we are moving in the right direction. No easy games amongst them, with european fixtures in the mix too.

Just seven games in we have 5 more points than at this stage last season, when we were already eight points off the leaders.

I just wish there were signs of progress.

It's a shame were so shit and had an awful transfer window. We could be even topper otherwise

Fellaini available against Newcastle, and DdG against Swansea - and we would likely be 3 if not 5 points better off

Newcastle game was a shocking game to drop points in really. Swansea a bit more acceptable as they are a decent side. But took a clown in net for that to happen as well.

Har har.

By moving in the right direction, I am referring to challenging for the title. Not being involved in a dog fight for 4th place, as we were last season.

4th was pretty comfortable tbf.

And being top of the table for the first time in two years is progress by any standards you wish to measure it by.

We have had a comfortable start. If we maintain it and we are top at the end of next month, then it'll have been an impressive start.

Excuse me for not getting too giddy so far.

Nice, but i'll be seriously impressed if we are top this time next month.

Still, it's an indicator that we are steadily improving.

We wouldn't have won our last two matches last season in the way we did*

*I know we won those respective fixtures, but the nature of the games.

i'm starting to get a 2012/13 vibe. that season we also had a pretty easy start, and we began looking generally okay (worse than we've been so far this season to be fair) but a bit dodgy at times, and people were a bit uneasy about the prospect of the tougher fixtures.

ended up winning at anfield, stamford bridge and the etihad.
