Hardworking, productive, albeit simplistic, user of the ball, much in the Makelele-mould.

Think he'll end up being a very useful signing, as he plugs a gap in the squad that has been open for a long time. Certainly should shore up the soft-centre of our midfield, and leave Casemiro less exposed.

A player of his type should lead to less goals conceded, and allow his midfield partners to push forward and support the attack to score more goals.

Question mark around if he's the true elite-level that we need to get close to the likes of City, considering no other big clubs were interested in him.

Very sensible signing overall, given the money involved, options available, and urgency to get his type of player into the squad.

He's basically a mix of veron and Scholes, can ping it wide or unlock the box...

If he's still rusty I can't wait to see when he gets up to speed. Mightily impressed.

What I would say is anyone who questioned his signing (or attempted signing given the fannying our board did) should worry that they might know £#%&! all about football

Brilliant start from the lad. Looking forward to his future performances being nowhere near as good and him joining West Ham for £10m in 18 months

Amrabat has started well, long may it continue but I always worry why these clubs let players like him go on loan.
