The reason I've made up for Moyes not playing Kagawa is that everyone knows he's a quality player and the two time Bundesliga player of the year, so the Glazers have told him not to play him in order to make our fans scoff at the idea of signing players that are actually winners. They believe this will make us more accepting of signing players that are losers (such as Fellaini or Young) and cost less money.

Think about it, how many times have you seen someone say "What's the point of signing them? Moyes wouldn't play them anyway. Just look at Kagawa", "Why would they be interested in signing for us since Kagawa did and couldn't get a game?" or something to that effect? For me, it's got to be at least 15 times, but I'll start making a record of it as I compile a dossier.

I can spot one small hole in your theory; that being that neither Fellaini nor Young came cheap; in fact they both cost a ridiculous amount of money

I'm not saying that there's isn't a chance it's bullshit, but I'd rather believe that than our team being run by a manager who thinks Ashley Young is a better player than Kagawa.

The fact is, us not paying the going rate for a world class player since Veron has made everyone in world football scoff at the idea of us being in for world class players, despite us arguably being the biggest club on the planet and having multi-million pound sponsorship deals coming out the arse. I just hope for the Glazers sake that they signed the kit deal before David Moyes sent us to 12th in the table.

They both did come on the cheap, compared to how much a top player would cost.

27.5m and 18m aren't the going rates for top quality footballers, unless you're living in the 90s. They only cost a ridiculous amount of money relative to their shitness. 27.5m would have been a ridiculous amount of money for Fabregas because it would be so cheap. It's all relative.

The other factor everyone seems to forget about when talking about signings is wages. Fellaini's and Young's contracts are probably in the region of 20-25m. Fabregas's would be in the region of 50-60m.

To be fair, only the gutter press have reported that it's 2m a year, but I'll go with it because it suits my agenda.

I see he's also asked fans not to raise their expectations of any signings in January as he's got some "really, really top players already".

I doubt if any were David :shakehead:
