Exclamation Sunday's Football 18/8

Quote:
Tottenham have confirmed Real Madrid transfer target Gareth Bale will not play due to a foot injury.
Jan Vertonghen is doubtful, Lewis Holtby is out injured and Emmanuel Adebayor will not feature as he has been away on compassionate leave.
Crystal Palace's Jerome Thomas will have to wait for his debut as he has not yet recovered from an ankle injury.
Paddy McCarthy is back in training but is not yet fit, while Glenn Murray and Yannick Bolasie are also out.

Quote:
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could give debuts to new signings Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel as he returns to the Premier League at home to Hull.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses had long flights while on international duty in midweek so may not start.
Hull could give debuts to new recruits Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Maynor Figueroa, Danny Graham, Yannick Sagbo, Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore.
Stephen Quinn misses out with a hamstring problem.

The whole build up on SKY/BT has been cringetastic.

State of the coverage last night with the Top Gear style studio audience:shakehead:
Who's bright idea was that? £#%&!ing hell.

I wish that Eagle had flown off course & plucked Hoddle out of his pundit seat & dropped him into the centre circle from about 200ft - apparently the Title is just a straight fight between City & Chelsea

Come on spurs, Nothing I love more than a nice early goal against a newly promoted team and all their giddy fans. Really let the reality hammer hit home.

£#%&!ing palace and their dogshit croydon fans.

Nice to have Quinn's dulcet tones back for another season. It's such an education to hear his wise & articulate words on the game. One of the greats of the game.
It's like listening to Holding or Warne during the Ashes coverage.

Have always hated Palace. A pain in the arse to get to and full of complete @#%&!s, a club with zero charisma.
