And what is overpaid? You could argue that Rashford is overpaid? because he’d earn less at another top club. Is Phil Jones overpaid because hen doesn’t contribute much to the team (thankfully)?.
Rashford, no because he’s on the way up (hopefully) and he would get his current wage elsewhere. Jones, yes because a single quid is too much for that broken down lumbering oaf.

Falcao
Schweinsteiger
Ibra
Matic
Sanchez
Ighalo

All players we lifted past their peak and on big wages. Some made a small contribution, but on the whole uninspiring and temporary.

He's not played football in years, over 13 injuries, 300k a week about to try his luck back in a league that has moved in from Southampton heart celebrations..

Flop.

He’d of got him from Leverkusen 5 years ago, not Spurs at this stage for the money they be asking.

He'd probably have got him from Spurs tbf.

Regardless, he is a quality player.

You’re missing Van Persie from your list, is that because it’s against your argument?

Always thought Son was made for united. Would of loved to have had him here

The exception to a more general rule, you mean?

Which young players did RVP and 7 appearances Larsson help ?

Larsson's main effect seemed to be ruining Saha's confidence, if we are being totally honest

Blanc is maybe someone whose presence benefited the younger players here.

Depends on who his agent was and the size of the bung.

Van Persie still had the hunger to win something. And as soon as he did, he became a huge waste of time like the other players mentioned.

MARCA are reporting that Gareth Bale has returned from the international break injured and won't be available for at least four weeks.

No, for two reasons. Firstly, van Persie was the current player of the year and golden boot winner when we bought him - which he’d go on to repeat - so the literal definition of not past his peak; and secondly because the list is quite clearly post-Fergie.
