It’s why it’s highly advisable to take the recruitment out of the managers hands and just make him a first team coach

Ideally you wouldn’t have someone like Boehly making those recruitment decisions but an expert who knows what they are doing

A club like Brighton is the perfect example as they don’t let the manager decide who they sign and consequently they haven’t missed a beat after Potter left (if anything they are a lot better)
They have a footballing vision which they stick to with their player and head coach recruitment
