Shearer, Ferdinand, Sheringham, Cole, Fowler, Sessions, Collymore,

Surely the best group of strikers England have had at any one time?

Big Dion would probably have had a lot of caps had he been playing over the last decade.

Le Tissier.

If we hadn't had Cantona he would have been the closest thing.

Not an all-out number 9, no.

But then nor were Sheringham and Collymore imo.

Shearer, Fowler, Owen, Cole and Wright all were.

For a year or two always wanted Ferdinand to come in and partner Eric up front.

Christmas ’94 my 'Man United 'wishlist' it was 1. Collymore 2. Ferdinand 3. Cole

Cole was 3rd mainly because at the time any deal signing Newcastle’s best player seemed far fetched…

Collymore was on fire 1994/95 for Forest he had all the footballing attributes to be a Man United centre forward..

He was Ronaldo before Ronaldo!

But yeah would've been interesting also to see how Fergie would've managed him..

Might have been *slightly* more sympathetic to his depression than John Gregory was

if you can get collymore against us 1994 at old trafford around the time we were sniffing he absolutely ran bruce and pallister a merry go round they won 2-1 think they were the first home goals we had conceded in months
