nothing will happen though.

I suppose exposing this kind of thing might eventually discourage enthusiasm but really doubt it. Supporters in the US, China, India etc could not give 2 shits.

Just confirming what we’ve all thought was the case for a decade. Ironic that all the things they accused us of doing and being just because we were successful they actually are x10000.

Sadly £#%&! all anyone can or will do about it.

Love Doudou tbh. Would be a strong contender for Under the Radar FOTY if such a category existed.

I just ignore the latter, and avoid the former if remotely humanly possible.

No but it will always be aimed at them and even the most hard core Bertie knows they would be nowhere without the oil money.

No team of 68 after the air disaster,no co92 and the treble etc.etc.

Utd made themselves

That's what sets the 2 clubs apart

only way it will end is if the bigmongs make a new comp with rules that will actually stop this shit.....or the threat of a new comp will kick fifa/uefa up the arse to fix it.

The trouble being that this new competition to stop this shit will be the dreaded European League.

What makes anyone think those in charge want to stop it? They’re all getting a taste.

more pissed off with qpr lying down, tbh.

obvs they are financial cheats and high pressing foulers, but their success would be meaningless even without that.

Bingo.

It's never been a question of 'how' they cheat. It's never been a secret how they've funnelled excessive amounts of money into the club. The real question is why has nobody said anything before now? And why has it taken a German paper to poke this particular hornets nest?

Even a cursory glance at their major sponsorship 'partners' should have alarm bells ringing. The most amateur of journos over here would have been able to spot the correlation between the owners and the "sponsors" throwing money into the place.

The fact is they all surely knew but had no interest in bringing it up because there's been a very deliberate narrative crafted about City, Guardiola and what they're doing in the media in this country. They all have their noses in the trough. Also how do you think it would reflect on the Premier League and their carefully cultivated 'brand' if the runaway champions were publicly discredited? It would cause untold damage to the 'brand'.

No, far better to let sleeping dogs lie. That way the premier league get to bask in the glamour of all the money City throw about, it generates positive attention on the Premier league and their sponsors, The manager and the football he cultivates generates massive positive headlines, the media get to write glowing puff pieces and get pats on the head from the City hierarchy every time they go to the Etihad and round and round it goes.

It's in absolutely nobody's interest in this country to start stirring things up in that respect. Other than the 19 other league teams who are all abiding by the rules of course.
