His best game for us. Looking like a proper player now (which we all know he is anyway)

He was ace last night. I was properly worried we’d been sold another Madrid dud, but he really looked the part.

On the subject of Madrid duds, Varane was imperious. Who is it on here that says he’s shit and massively overrated? Vedder?

Daft. Varane is clearly class. You could see it last season. He was just thrown into an absolute shit show.

All of Casemiro’s early struggles just looked like a player a bit rusty and adapting to the league. You see that all the time with midfielders. They get mugged off early on. Rodri suffered from it loads early on at city.

Varane has been very good this season, after being pretty much bang average last time out. Not helped by injuries and no doubt playing next to slab head tbf.

that said, tbf, he's certainly never seemed to hate us in the way certain other pundits do.

He's completely transformed how we play. We now have way more of the ball and are about 30 yards further up the pitch.
Has a great shot on him too.
At Madrid allowed Modric and Kroos to do what they do. World class player and has been for years.

Personally I don’t think he’s injured. It’s the only way to save slab without looking like a tit and the media making it out to be the biggest problem in the country.

Play him in the Europa league and carling cup whenever that starts but nothing more. Lindelof should be first back up

He’s a classy £#%&!er

What a header that was.

I like many questioned if he still had it…

Big plaudits for windy

Thumbs up

Some people - including, dare one say, a few on here - called him a "desperation" signing when he arrived.

Maybe not, eh.
