Has been very good, even for a fat lad.

Wonder if he’s less self conscious of himself without crowds there?

Yep. Have slated him mercilessly over the years - mainly because I can’t fathom how a professional footballer in the prem playing for a top world side in 2021 can be overweight- it’s beyond me. But he’s been excellent. He’d be even better if he was fitter and would have a longer career too.

Tbf I blame our training nutrition staff - they monitor all players every second of every day ffs. What they eat, drink how much they move. How on earth can they not make him stick to a nutrition/fitness programme?

he's had an outstanding season and it helps having some competition behind you to make you realize either step up and produce or sit your fat arse in the stands

Brilliant again today. That level he’s shot up to this season just keeps on going and he’s showing he can do it in the big games too. 7 assists and more of a goal threat. He should have had two today.

He carries the ball so well too. Attacks take space and keeps it simple. There was nothing sophisticated about the second goal. It’s just direct, positive and devastatingly simple.

Thought he was our best player today.

Just a shame he isn’t as good as Andy Robertson.

Has been excellent last few months. Finally looking like the potential we bought all those years ago.

Maybe that leg break did set him back a hell of a lot, in retrospect.

Excellent again

Pleased for the lad too because he’s had a rough time of it over years (yeah yeah while on x amount).

Easily runner up in our player of the year awards and should probably get a nomination for PFA player too.

Wonderful again. He's become an engine driving up and down that wing and his combination play has massively come on. One of Ole's best accomplishments so far has been kickstarting Shaw's career. He never takes public plaudits for it and always gives credit to the player. Builds up confidence and a determination to repay that trust.

Love the tubby little top red

Was never as bad as many claimed, a soft (around the edges at times) target imo.

He was bang average for a long time tbf.

Has probably benefited from the schedule, as he looks the fittest he has been since he arrived here. No time to get fat
