Official- Team to face Barcelona thread

We'll defend deep, not really contest possession and squeeze the space between midfield and defence. Standard 'away' tactics for us these days. We're awful against sides that close us down and Barcelona press the ball better then anyone. Can't say I'm particularly optimistic. If Messi doesn't get rapey and our players don't get dragged all over the place by their passing, we have a chance. Will be very difficult though.

Will we play Rooney and Pea? Nani or Valencia to start? Fergie says he knows what went wrong in Rome, hope he gets it right this time

Don't get all the moaning tbh. We're in a European Cup final, enjoy all the build up, and being on a Saturday you can enjoy the day of the game all day not being in work. If we get beat we get beat, they're a great side. Cherish it because it's not often you see your club get to a European Cup final, nevermind 3 finals in 4 years, yet there are people whinging as if they would rather us not be there. Pathetic tbh, don't deserve to support the club.

It's normally games where everybody is utterly convinced we are going to get mullered that we win tbh.

There isn't the remotest chance that Carrick won't start. Big questions will be right back, one central midfield spot and one or two up top. And on current form, Valencia should get the nod over Nani. Some very unlucky players are gonna miss out on a squad place too.

We won't though. Even if we did, so £#%&!ing what? We're in a European Cup final, Liverpool aren't, Chelsea aren't, City aren't. We'll be alright in the final, we won't get mullered, Madrid actually played alright at the Nou Camp tbh. As long as we're not defensive and sit to deep we have a chance of winning it.
