I don't think that an award of this type is necessarily for the best player as much as it is for performance. I don't want to put words in their mouths, but I would bet that most of the writers who voted for Parker wouldn't put him in their top 5 in a best player category.

Anyway, it's by the by. I wouldn't have voted for him (I'd have gone with Vidic), but my point in replying was simply that he is not "shit" and I stand by that.

Ther's been quality, just very little consistency. That's why I'd have gone for Vidic. I can't think of anyone else who has been as consistantly excellent.
