Default More outrage as SAF disgraces himself and league integrity

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...side-blackpool

Quote:
Sir Alex Ferguson's preparations for the Champions League final are threatening to have repercussions for some of the Premier League's relegation-threatened teams after it transpired he was planning to play a virtual reserve side against Blackpool in Manchester United's final game.

If United secure a record 19th league title by getting a point or more at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, Ferguson intends to rest almost his entire first-choice team against Blackpool,

The Premier League is aware of the possibility of Holloway's team facing an under-strength side and it is likely that, if the title is confirmed at Ewood Park, the newly crowned champions will be reminded of their responsibilities in the buildup to the final weekend. The league stipulates in Rule E20 that "in every league match each participating club shall field a full strength team". Rule B13 notes that "each club shall behave towards each other club and the league with the utmost good faith".
Like rats in a classroom.

Teacher teacher, Alex didn't do his homework. Pathetic.

Daniel Taylor, as usual. Fergie hasn't allowed him anywhere near a press conference for about three years and he's a very bitter individual.

He's also one of the idiots who broke the 'Douglas Costa' story.

And finally, he called me a 'jester hat wearing clown' on Twitter for suggesting he was ABU.

If they are in the first team squad they are good enough to play in the first team.

I doubt he will play a reserve side tbh, it would mean most of the first team wouldn't have played for 2 full weeks leading up to the CL final, I imagine he would want them sharper than that. I imagine a few with knocks or the very tired may miss out, but I don't see wholesale changes, just £#%&!ing thick journo's.

Exactly. Didn't our 'reserves' recently win a CL semi 4-1?

Every single manager in the world would do the same, and it's only in England where anyone gets huffy about it.
Football journalists are on the whole pointless wastes of oxygen with nothing new or interesting to say.

We beat Schalke 4-1 in a European Cup semi-final with a 'reserve side'. Pretty sure whoever we put out will have a pretty good chance of beating Blackpool.

Ive never understood how they can fine teams over this. Like Wolves a good bit back wasnt it? Whats the 'criteria' the fa base this on, a players champ man stats? ITs not for them to decide if Gibson is better than Scholes for example no matter how obvious it may be to anyone with a clue, if theyre signed, then SAF can choose them on match day, simple as that.

And it seems like theyve forgotten Hull pre Rome as well. £#%&!ing clowns
