Couldn't agree more. His best year for us was 1999 immediately after that World Cup nonsense when his effigy was hanging from east end pubs. He must have known after that year, if he didn't before, that united fans are the best there is (or was) because he was supported through that season like few other players ever have been.

And he defo repaid that support
