Would have been epic if hed went straight on camera after the match for an 'exclusive' to announce live that the price had now increased.

Exactly. It makes no difference to the divs owners what they pay.

Most of the blue loving media are suggesting that Spurs are being pig headed by not accepting what City are offering and should gratefully accept whatever City deem to be a fair price / offer.

They seem to forget Kane still has three years on his contract, Spurs don't want to or need to sell and most importantly value him at £150m+

Why the £#%&! should they sell him for less than that - they have been clear that its the asking price - "cant afford it - don't come shopping here"

When they finally agree to Levy’s price, he should tell them it’s gone up another £15 mill.
Just because.

He is surely going there eventually, but making them sweat for a while is better than nothing.

Personally id love to see the deal happen for £150m plus. It would be a big mistake.

I dont really rate City too much. Not surprised to see them lose their first two.

They had a lucky run last season to save them out of a bad start. If they didnt get that covid holiday.....

If he doesn't join City this year, you know he will be joining us next summer.

Their owners will be hurt by the suggestion that they can't afford to buy the shiny toy they want. They'll end up paying whatever it takes.

And we hadn’t fallen off a cliff……

Totally agree by the way. There was a point last season when they looked very shaky…and then everyone around them started losing and drawing and that was all the help they needed.

Then watch Pep defend the spending. The rest of us can't lose - they either miss out on shiny shiny goose or look like massive hypocrites.

This has been a trend of the last few years. Aside from when Liverpool and city went toe-to-toe, most titles have been won at a canter.

The ease with which the runaway leaders can rack 10, 12, 15 straight wins is a sad reflection on the league. Those sorts of runs were reserved for special teams. These teams aren’t special. And it’s backed up by the fact they don’t back it up the next year.

Liverpool won 14 in a row two seasons ago….then lost 6 in a row at home and finished 3rd. City followed their title defence of 2019 with a pathetic attempt the next season.

And the less said about us when we were top last season, the better.

Teams have been comfortably getting 95-100 points the last few years, with pundits and journalists queuing up to immortalise them based on these stats… all it says to me is that the league needs to do better.

Arguably our greatest ever side, 1999, got 79 points, but we popped a REALLY good Arsenal team, who didn’t just fold after Christmas.

2008, we got 87 points and Chelsea wouldn’t go away on 85. Even powder-puff Arsenal were 4 points adrift on 83.

It was competitive. We desperately need that back again because the team winning the league have had it far too easy, going as far back as Conte’s Chelsea and Leicester’s title winning team.

Hopefully us and Chelsea can make it more interesting and Spurs winning at the weekend was a good sign, as city just rolled up expecting to win that.

City have £#%&!ed Kane off and are moving for Vlahovic instead it seems.. although, reports yesterday suggested he was off to Atletico imminently.
