Default Will Potter be a success at Chelsea?

Is the Chelsea squad full of egos? Will he be able to deal with the massive signigns they will want to bring in?

Depends. What’s Stamford Bridge’s capacity again?

Yep, that's all you can ask of him, a bit of silverware and a full stadium.

Define success.

Win the league, champions league or just an FA Cup?

He'll be gone before Truss

I want him to succeed.

If success is coming 2nd to us in the league and getting beaten in the CL final by a late Maguire header (not og).

You need to think about that a little more.

If they are beaten by a late Maguire headed own goal, it means Maguire is playing for Chelsea not us

Difficult to say. Get the impression this new owner wants a degree of control over players purchased and on field matters, based on the ridiculousness of their transfer window and his apparent unhappiness at Tuchel turning down Ronaldo. That added to the player power that has always existed at Chelsea and his less than stellar track record could lead to disaster tbf.

He’s a very good manager clearly but Chelsea is a @#%&!soup and that doesn’t look like changing under the new boss going off the transfer window. He’d do better at a club like Arsenal.

I voted no - I think the club as a whole is and has been toxic. The players seem to be in charge and owners interfere too much. 17 managers in 20 years, despite winning things, suggests to me that Potter would be taking on a job that is destined to fail.

He has done well at Brighton, but taking on a new squad, with no opportunity to buy or sell, will be too much.

Plus - I hope he fails miserably
