I suppose it's how you define the basic competencies at the level you're playing at (e.g. a champions League tie) or want to be at.

The majority of our players struggle receiving the ball under pressure, struggle to make any kind of accurate incisive pass, are one footed and can't go past a player.

For me, being able to control an easy pass and pass the ball sideways and backwards 5 yards isn't a basic requirement of a Man United player but it seems to have become the upper limit of the ability of most when we come up against decent opposition or press.

. During a training session, early into his United career, Ferdinand failed to control a long ball fired at him by Keane.

Solskjaer hit out: "Is this all you get for £30million these days?"
Illustrates how far our standards have dropped.

Fantastic to see this @#%&! get dropped today.

And what does he do when he comes on? Proves what a no good, dirty selfish little #@&%! he is.

You know what to do, Ole.

"Thoroughly decent" certainly wouldn't describe his performance today, in any sense

Didn’t even look at Greenwood.

When he made that gesture implying the ball didn’t bend enough I almost put my £#%&!ing foot through the screen. I have to stop caring this much.

I was more frustrated at his other attempt when he just smashed a shot from about 25 yards straight into a defender. We had an overlap and like always he just chose the wrong option

I think he’s starting to realize his days of fraud are numbered.

Considerate of EA to give every player who’s ever played their own edition.

Gonna be some pretty disappointed kids when they discover they can't score or assist on that edition.
