Ajax have always had the right idea obvs but the academy dropping gems and finally putting their hand in their pocket to sign Tadic, Blind is reaping reward too. Would love them to beat Barca in the final.

Clubs like Ajax - or Monaco, Atletico, Napoli etc -can do what United cannot. Their expectations are more moderate so they can build something with more patience. They can afford their young players to learn and make mistakes in the job. We lose three games in a row and we want everyone from Woodward to Mike Keegan drummed out of the club.

Think our expectations should be far more moderate tbf.

We should be doing exactly what Ajax and Dortmund do. It’s the only model that’s sustainable given our financial situation and the ever increasing transfer market.

There are three "proper" clubs in the Netherlands and have been for the past 50 odd years. Ajax didn't win the league every year even when they had Cruyff in the team.

New signing, turns out the lad had made pro-Feyenord and anti-Ajax statemntsin his youth, so big Ed and Overmars made him write lines
