Handed the hardest possible draw in the FA Cup 3rd round which we'll do well to win tbh.
And knocked out of the carling cup by £#%&!ing crystal palace.

So, looking at our options you'd all just rather we £#%&!ed off the Europa league and got busy winning £#%&! all?

Well i hate to burst your arrogant as £#%&! 'we're too big for this comp' attitude, but it turns out that THIS IS our level now. So £#%&!ing get used to it...either accept that United aren't among the best in europe any more and more than likely we won't be in the top 3 best teams in our own country come may.

You don't hear £#%&!ing Ajax moaning about it (you know that silly little dutch team who have more european cups than us).
Is it £#%&! our level. Quite often we make hard work of our European Cup group but this year it caught us out. In 05/06 when we went out of the group we were just shit. Also we will be back in the European Cup next year so the Europa Leagur isn't our level.

Good point, well made. Better foundation then. Saf says we're in a better position now because we have jones, smalling and wellbeck. Back then we had rooney, Ronaldo and not to mention some excellent years ahead for Scholes (06/07 especially) and giggs.

Suggesting we have a better team now than then is akin to the same comments (probs from same posters) who said we had a better team going into London 11 final compared with Rome 09.

I know it has been a bad few weeks but is Sparky seriously thinking that Utd will finish below Spurs?

Injuries are killing Utd at the moment and exposing the frailties of the squad, but Spurs are not better than a full strength Utd, Chelsea are not better and Arsenal are not better. City probably are but they have spent half a Billion in 3-4 years.

Europa League: Ticket options

As announced on Thursday night, 8 December, the Board has decided to set aside the terms and conditions of Season Tickets that relate to holders having to buy tickets for all European cup competition matches played at Old Trafford in relation to this season’s Europa League games. Please note this applies to 2011/12 only.

If you are a Season Ticket holder, the Club will guarantee your seat (subject to operational requirements) for each Europa League home game unless you tell us that you do not wish to buy it. Season Ticket holders currently opted-out for Carling Cup games should note that this opt-out will not automatically transfer over to the Europa League. If you intend to opt-out of all home Europa League games, you must tell the Ticket Office from 9am on Monday 12 December in the usual way (see below, “How do I opt-out?”).

This is a long statement, for which we apologise, but please read it carefully, it has been produced to help you understand what will happen with tickets for Europa League games that United play this season.

It is important to note that the Club will treat this season’s Europa League as a completely separate competition to all the others that fans are used to buying tickets for.

As a result, supporters need to note the following points:

• If United are to reach the Europa League final in Romania in May, the team will have to play eight matches (four at home and four away). Each of these games will count as one credit. There will be a maximum of eight credits. Priority for final tickets will be given to fans with the most credits

• Europa League away credits are only earned on the successful collection of the match ticket in the city where the game is being played, in accordance with the arrangements set out by the Ticket Office for each game

• In the event that Europa League away games are sold out, an unsuccessful application for that away game will count as one credit

• If a Season Ticket holder opts not to buy Europa League home tickets, this will have no bearing on that fan’s ability to apply for domestic away games

• If United reach the FA Cup final, Europa League tickets will not count when the Club assesses a fan’s priority for a ticket for Wembley.

When is the draw?

The draw for the Round of 32 and the Round of 16 will be held on Friday 16 December 2011 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

How will I opt out?

The process will be very similar to the one that fans are familiar with for the Carling Cup. You can opt-out of all the games at once (maximum four games) or game-by-game on dates we will tell you as the tournament goes on. If you opt-out of all the games at once, you risk not being able to buy a ticket for any game in the later rounds, as you will lose your season ticket priority status for Europa League games. In addition, you should note that only tickets bought for Europa League games (home or away) will count when allocating tickets,

should United reach the final.

Season Ticket holders currently opted-out of Carling Cup games should note that this opt-out will not automatically transfer over to the Europa League. If you intend to opt-out of all home Europa League games, you must tell the Ticket Office after 9am on Monday 12 December by visiting manutd.com/homecup or calling 0161 868 8000 between 8am and 8pm Monday – Friday or 9am and 5pm weekends. Please note the lines will be closed on Christmas Day. The closing date for opting-out of all the games is 8pm on 6 January 2012.

If you want to make your mind up about buying tickets on a game-by-game basis (should United progress in the competition), you can remain opted-in for the season but then tell the Ticket Office game-by-game if you want to opt-out of a particular fixture.

If you remain opted in, we will contact you after 6 January with the opt-out deadline for the home match in the Round of 32 (the first round United is involved in). Deadlines for rounds after that will be sent to you in the usual way.

How much are the tickets?

No decision has yet been made on ticket prices, but as soon as one has been, we will of course let you know and advertise them via the usual channels.

Where can I find out more about the Europa League?

The Club's guide to the Europa League - including the dates for each round - is available in ManUtd.com's Football News section (dated 8/12/11).

Dear

As announced on Thursday last week, the Board has decided to set aside the terms and conditions of Season Tickets that relate to holders having to buy tickets for all European cup competition matches played at Old Trafford in relation to this season’s Europa League games. · Europa League away credits are only earned on the successful collection of the match ticket in the city where the game is being played, in accordance with the arrangements set out by the Ticket Office for each game

· In the event that Europa League away games are oversubscribed, an unsuccessful application for that away game will count as one credit

· If a Season Ticket holder opts not to buy Europa League home tickets, this will have no bearing on that fan’s ability to apply for domestic away games

· If United reach the FA Cup final, Europa League credits will not count when the Club assesses a fan’s priority for a ticket for Wembley.
