back when ireland was exporting immigrants en masse, the economy was dead, we had a foreign manager who played awful but effective football, england was in the grips of a tory government and famous for it's anti social problems and riots, back when racism was common in the english game and united were going nowhere. At times. Sometimes i just wash my hands of them and don't give a £#%&!. Either way, unless it's a major tournament my interest in them is minimal to say the least.

I pay little attention to a lot of the idiot faction that use the national team as a vehicle for their own demented paranoid facist views and generally unless i'm feeling particularly miffed i want england to do well.

What i don't do is follow the '£#%&! england' mantra because i'm not a mindless try hard playing top red trumps with the rest of the ex pat tax dodging filth.
