£#%&! off - so the goal line squatter earned his coin today - thanks Dave

Les Sealey was heroic once too.

Can’t wait to see a keeper commanding the box with big Raph strutting around in front of him. Hendo reds

Did Villareals keeper have a debacle or where they ten very well taken United penalties? Using that game as a stick to beat him with is really weird. He’s had his ups and downs over the last two or three seasons but he’s also been playing with shite defenses for the same period.

Those who were creaming themselves over Henderson and thinking he was ever even close to the quality of Dave’s

Why did you let your standards drop for so long?
Sell Henderson now and use the money to buy a decent midfielder .

He had a bad season Tbf and when Henderson came in he seemed to do the basics well such as catching a ball wearing a baseball cap

The latter being the most important bit, of course.

Thankfully I was never one of those bozzos.

Thinking Henderson is better than DDG.

But he's English...

A more apt gif describing his career. Props to those that have kept the faith when challenged by the cap wearer.

In the absense of Big Sergio, he is the best option we have.

Form is temporary.

Class is permanent.

Hendo. You and your cap get in the bin.

Great save, and seems to have started the season well. Vg2c.

His penalty record is truly abysmal though. Apparently that's the first one he's saved (including in shootouts) in the last 40.

Be interesting to see some comparisons, especially taking out shoot outs. Do keeers save that many penalties?

Also, let’s assume we just talk about his “in game” time at United and guess without shootouts he’s probably had 20 against him in ten years. The fact that he might not have saved two penalties a season doesn’t seem that bad?

Edit just found this

That stat must be %@#$&!s

He must have saved us 4-6 points already this season.

I'm not seeing any apologies on this thread...

His stats are awful when it comes to spot-kicks. Compare to someone like Donnarumma, who has a ridiculous 38% penalty-kick save percentage, and it puts things into context:

Quote:
Donnarumma has been involved in five official penalty shootouts since making his debut as a 16-year-old and incredibly he has won every shootout.

In normal play Donnarumma has faced 44 penalties during his career. He has saved (not including misses) 15 of them, while only 29 have been scored.

This means that Donnarumma is saving over a third of penalties taken against him. This is almost double the average, according to InStat, of penalties saved by goalkeepers which stands at 17.57%.

Despite only making his senior debut in 2016, Donnarumma is already in the top 10 for goalkeepers with the most penalty saves in the 21st century.

looking at the first link believe posted, seems dave is the best when matched against recent united legends. against his contemporaries he's better than ederson, you can't count alisson as he's only faced less than half of ddg. not sure i trust those stats tho... schmeichel (leicester) faced 93 pens? that's what playing behind huth and morgan does for you I guess.

NAME TOTAL PENS PENS SAVED % SAVED

DDG 65 12 18.5%
VDS 60 11 18.3%
SCHMEICHEL P 36 3 8.3%

EDERSON 46 7 15.2%
ALISSON 25 9 36.0%
PICKFORD 46 11 23.9%
SCHMEICHEL K 93 23 24.7%
