There's no coming back from this. When you've got people who've been watching United for 40 years saying considering who we've got on the pitch, that Sunday was the WORST they've ever seen, you have to draw a line under it.

There's no coming back from this.

He'll leave us in a better shape than he found us and we thank him. But regardless of what happens on Saturday, the damage has been done. Everything from this point on is just kicking the can down the road.

Agreed, which is why we should just do it now. Not fair on anyone to keep him on.

Thing is, if we hobble to a couple of decent results in the next week, they won’t sack him straight away and we’ll just keep hopping from one false start to another and waste the whole season.

Getting conte 🤣🤣🤣🤣. It’s all there to see open your eyes. If he was wanted he’d have been here yesterday. Why revert to type. There’s a specific type they want. All currently managing. 1 Rogers 2 poch 3 possibly the Ajax lad who if so should say he wants Edwin over ..

People upset about fans singing about ole. But say nothing when they sing about Munich. Yep those @#%&!s. These people take placards to the ground begging for a shirt.

It's pissing me off listening to people wibbling on about Ferguson's first 3 years. Last time i checked Ferguson didn't have arguably the greatest player in modern history, balon d'or winners, world record defenders and multiple european cup winners to select from back in 1990.

The situations are incomparable. Give 1990 alex ferguson this squad and he'd piss the league.

Agree 100% though.

Imagine him still in charge for the city match, they go a goal up, absolutely bouncing up and down singing Ole's at the wheel and he's stood there watching? Abject humiliation again? We're watching the club die, as well as a decent bloke get publicly destroyed. So yes, I think I probably would rather Carrick I'm afraid.

Even that I feel is exaggerated.

Cavani gone end of season
Ronaldo’s final season next
Pogba walking out for free
The midfield a complete shambles
A shit 50m right back we’re stuck with
An 80m centre half who is abysmal when not on it
Still lots of deadwood in the squad - Lingard, Martial, Mata, Bailly, he who should not be named
Van De Beek floating somewhere in the sunken place

The next manager will need to rebuild too fairly early

Pluses

some other shit shifted
Greenwoods emergence
Sancho bought (70m and already getting used to the bench)

What are the rest in terms of rebuild, genuinely?

Support your local club instead then you instant gratification glory hunting uber red
Not surprised you checked you obviously never lived it. Some don’t need to check we have a history to draw on thanks. Fergie was spending big then and no he never had a 36 year old legend goal hanging. I might not agree with him but can understand Ferguson not wanting to knee jerk on this if that is the case.

It pisses me off … ffs

Ole needs to go now to avoid him fluking a couple of results and putting doubt in the board's mind about what to do.

And any caretaker should be undeniably shit enough that fans would never get ideas about them being given the role permanently.

He will and he’ll stay until the end of the season imo

We should be good enough for top 4 and that’s all that matter to the owners etc

They’ll replace him in the summer, but probably won’t start sounding their preferred choice out until the summer so we’ll be playing catch up at the start of next season.

Oh and it’ll probably be someone that’s available right now who they’ll end up going for…

Absolutely zero chance now that we get top 4 if he stays.
