Serenity Now

Default Our three strikers have the same number of league goals combined this season as...

Peter Crouch has on his own. Again, that's Peter Crouch of Portsmouth FC.

Starting to really think Berbs was a bad choice tbh. We don't work well with a focal point.

There's a familiar pattern forming in recent games: We struggle to break down teams that come out and defend against us, and end up passing it to death in front of a packed penalty area. I don't understand this given the wide options we have - we prefer to rely on clever flicks and wall passes from the likes of Berbatov, Ronaldo and Tevez. That's fine, but when the former two only play half a game at best because they're feeling a bit moody, then you have to at least consider bringing Nani on and spreading it wide, or letting the opposition come on to you so you can hit them on the break.

We've been pretty ordinary this season so far. I can't think of many games where we've been 'entertained' or seen the real Utd. The players keep talking about it but have done £#%&! all about it.

Very disappointing season so far, yet we're 3rd in the league with a game in hand and we're in the next round of the European Cup.

Odd.

It would help if one of the wide options wasn't a Preening Tit, apparently more interested in his personal trophy collection than furthering the achievements of the team this season.

but he didnt suit the way we wanted to play and his departure worked out well for both parties.

i remember some so bitter the season after he left that they were always flashing up with updates on how madrid were doing.

maybe he is frustrated at having to hug the touchline and puts balls into the box for 'no one'

Well yeah, and I did allude to that somewhat in my original post. I'm normally reluctant to criticise Ronaldo because of what he's done for us, but this season he's just gone a little bit too far in the wrong direction. There was a point during the game on Saturday when someone caught his hand, and I was half expecting him to use it as an excuse to come off again. He perked up a little in the second half, but he's not giving it anywhere near 100% at the moment. You can probably get by with one player in the team like that, but with Berbatov misfiring too, then results are bound to suffer.

he did at first, he was immense

but you have to move on and keep your opponents on their toes if you want to keep winning the top prizes

hence Ferguson adding another new dimension to the team this summer

We're lucky nobody else has got their shit together. We won't win the league if we carry on like this though.

Chelsea booed off after a draw. £#%&! me!

Yeh. He added a dimension by taking away a vortex, in the shape of van Nistelrooy.

It just goes to show how much we have relied on Ronaldo. He's misfiring and he's still scored 8 league goals. When he doesn't hit 100% performance (note, performance not effort) we are toothless.

We should just go Brazil 82 on the Premier League and play with all 4 front men in front of a two of Carrick and one of Fletcher/Anderson/Scholes.

but it's interesting how Scolari is reluctant to play Anelka with drogba, the same as Mourinho was reluctant to play Shevchenko with Drogba
