The difference being that previous managers and owners wouldn’t tolerate it and those players would either have to knuckle down and they’d be out.

The current United set-up means they can behave pretty much however they like because they’re fire proof, the manager will get sacked long before they will.
That summer of 2018 looks more and more like the sliding doors moment for this club.

Woodward publicly chose the players over the manager, and we're still feeling the ramifications of that horrible decision 4 years later.

Definitely.

I wonder how much of the money we've spent on transfer since Fergie left has actually been on the first choice targets of each manager.

It's incredible that Woodward was actually involved in football decisions.

Was apparently Murtough that told Lingard to take more time off, against Ralf’s wishes. What a mess of a club.

Can you imagine a member of the United staff telling one of Fergie's players to have a few days off behind his back.

I have to disagree with you about it being a storm in a teacup.

It is another example of a manager being undermined.

Successful football clubs aren't run that way.

Used to ge rage against the machine now it's rage against a youth team player from Warrington

Less the greedy @#%&!s in Miami more the £#%&!ing automation double plus bad squealing auxillary unpaid £#%&!s . Despite his nonsense he's been a utd boy forever and never been disloyal. Looking forward to the drones and cockneys assailing me because they know better from their perch 100 miles away

Whatever his faults you @#%&!s are worse.
