Default Anyone ever used to spend shit loads on Merlin Premiership Stickers?

I remember my mum gave me a tenner. Blew the whole lot on stickers looking for the almighty No. 1!

My mate once got 2 Number 1's in one pack! Jammy bastard.

Thinking about it now, they were an absolute £#%&!ing rip off. To complete an album, you would have to spend about £5.

Never finished a single album.

I had a Panini World Cup 1994 one.

If anyone has got Paulo Di Canio for 97/98 then PM me, I have still got a pile of about 1000 swaps in my room from 94 until 99, you can have any shinies you want.

Did anyone used to go to the Swap Shops?

Oh, and the school playground...'Got, got, got , got..NEED!!'

Being so addicted you knew EXACTLY what you needed and what you'd got without thinking twice or needing to look at your book.

Finding the little kids with loads of swaps and 'accidently' knocking them out of their hand and sniding yourself loads of their shinies while you 'helped pick them up' for them

It was exciting when opening a packet and you could see foil because you knew you had a badge

I did that. Whole album memorised, wasn't the same with school work though.

What REALLY pissed me off was when someone had the one you needed to complete the album......but they wouldn't swap it for you because they had all your swaps.

So what?

It's just one sticker you already have for another. Here, here's 50 swaps for just one single sticker, you #@&%!!!

Still steamed about that.

I remember when I was far too old to do it but couldn't help it.

Being the first person in the playground to complete it was the stuff of dreams!

I had an allowance of 2 packs a day, so some older kids always completed it before me. Then one year I was nearly there...Needed the Derby shiney and Paolo Di Canio and no one else had done it. Then my Auntie bought my cousin a whole £#%&!ing BOX from Martin Mccols and he completed it before me and brought the album into school to show everyone.

I started crying when I got home
