In a competition where nearly all of the countries playing have open borders the choice of Moscow is a case of politics over common sense. There should be a reserve plan for Wembley if it's two English teams - should be relatively easy to draft up in advance as a plan B and alot £#%&!ing greener than ferrying punters from the same country over to a place like Russia. |

Just thinking about the security alone it would be nearly impossible. |

You can't move the stadium once the choice has been made though. They will haver invested money not only in bidding for the final but probably in improving the stadium, planning security etc. You can't change the venue for the final, but you can choose a more appropriate venue in the first place. Ease of supporters entering and moving around the country should be one of the primary considerations. It isn't of course because none of footballs governing bodies give a shit about the supporters. |

At the end of the day since the competition started I would like to bet that 99% of finalists have come from England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Holland so why don't they just rotate it between these every year. They are all straight forward to get to and all have stadiums big enough to hold such an event.
