Default The Manchester United time machine

Ok, I have invented a time machine. It will enable us to return one of the above players back to 20 years of age again.

Which one are we to select?

I like this scenario….

The way I see it as much as I love Eric and what he did for us and how marvellous it would be to have him here again from age 20, I look at him in a similar way to how I do Royston. That being that Roy Keane played in a great team and make no bones about it was a great player.

Robbo on the other hand for the large part played in shit team and was still great in the truest essence. In fact he made a shite team good he was that £#%&!ing good.

Therefore Robbo everytime.

To fit in the current team?

Ryan Giggs.

As a true left winger is nigh on impossible to find.

The rest, we have players who will, or do match, at the club now.

Robbo - he's the player (of those listed) our current team could do with most.

Good shout Banbury Red - the most sane thing said in Irlam for about 3 years.

The time machine only goes back 20 years for some reason, he was dead then. I thought of Edwards at first as well, I've never seen him play but I believe those who say he was our best ever.

The time machine is £#%&! then. Send an engineer out to alter it to go back 50 years

i can see where you're coming from but that's maybe a bit too emotive for a thread like this that was born in wummery.

so i've voted giggs, mainly to piss off poppy.

If Poppy did have a proper time machine, I'd actually use it to travel back and watch our games against Athletic Bilbao and Di Stefanos Real Madrid in the European Cup Qtr and Semi Finals of 1957.
