Nobody else reporting that. Not sure why they’d give the scoop to some unverified freelance twitter gimp

Fulham and Villa have higher net spends than us the last two summers.

Not gunna lie...

It’s a fake account and I fell for it

Was hoping no one would notice it tbh, but as soon as I saw you’d commented in the thread I knew I’d been rumbled

I remember that number being reported somewhere like old AGM notes.

It's not a million miles away from our net spend this year and last (assuming Lukaku goes).

Fernandes was obviously the option if Pogba went. As soon as it became clear that he was staying, we backed off.

Because United posted record revenues last season that dwarf those of Villa and especially Fulham?

Didn't the original plan claim £25m a season, which sometimes we spent over, sometimes under, and it seemed to balance out? £60m would probably be about right given the increase in turnover etc.

Yeah, probably best to not bother any more and just let Darcie build a summer house with the money instead.

Probably best to have a style of play and look for players who fit the ethos rather than expensive ornaments.

All players are expensive now, especially the good ones.

Hopes this helps.

A list of players signed by the club under two very different managers.

I think the problem isn’t really spending money, but how the people running the club allowed two completely different managers free reign on a rebuild in less than 3-4 years, while also having an accountant run the football side of things.

So, with the 75m Lukaku fee that leaves us with a whopping actual spend this summer of 70m quid. Roughly exactly the same as last summer then.

If that's our budget now every year we're not going to get anywhere fast.

Oh well.
