Default Ole: I want a new striker

Or pretty much...

Quote:
'You need competition for places at Man United,' he said on Monday.

'I've been here myself for so many years as a striker and Teddy Sheringham comes in, Dwight Yorke comes in, Ruud van Nistelrooy comes in, Wayne Rooney comes in.

'If you think you've got a divine right to be playing every game and are doing so well that we're not going to look for players to replace you, you're in the wrong place.

Mason Greenwood has also impressed but it is too soon to expect him to start regularly +5
Mason Greenwood has also impressed but it is too soon to expect him to start regularly

'We've always got to look at improving, and if they don't improve we might have to look somewhere else to get better because we have to be better. We're too far away from where we need to be and want to be.

'I've always had faith in the forwards we have at the club - Mason, Marcus and Anthony. They've all taken responsibility at different parts of the season and I'm delighted with all of them.

'I think all three have had a good development this season, but they can be so much better. I'm still waiting to see them blossom because there are parts of their game they need to improve on.

'They know I want the best for them, but they also know I've got to make decisions for the team and the club.'
New big LODGED for Big Erling?

Not what I said was it really - was asking for recommendations and suggested powerlines, meshes etc...

Anyway, stay on topic please.

Would have to be a finished article, Aubameyang would be perfect imo, knows the league, free transfer at the end of next season so would be cheap this summer, has scored 51 goals in his last 65 games 🔥 and we all know what happened Last time we bought an ageing striker off Arsenal, could be a good omen

No point a young centre forward as we've got 3 already.

An older player to replace Ighalo maybe?

We really should have bought him when he moved from Dortmund. He's only going to lose his pace now, not get better in any regard.

Buy Sancho & have a world class option from the right side which we badly need for balance. We have good young options off the bench from there, plus Ighalo as a proper striker.

A Rashford, Martial & Sancho forward line would score 70+ between them, having those goals shared around is far more important than getting a Kane who will score 30-ish but make us far more predictable.

Dembele and Sancho.

Should’ve been Werner.

Should be Havertz.

The use of the fire emoji. Don't know whether to laugh or cry

Good call, though. Hopefully we keep Iggy too.

Aubamayeng on a free is beyond obvious as the smart move.

Also leaves money for other areas, but you don’t need me to tell you that.
