Fred
I think if we’re going to give him as much stick as he got a month or so ago, we have to balance that out when he plays well, and he has the last few games. He’s still prone to losing possession, but he covers a lot of ground and really puts in a shift. The Scottish Player looks better alongside Fred than he did with any of his other midfield partners this season.
He definitely appears to be benefitting from a run in the team; the quality of his play has gone up a few notches in the last few weeks. Still not totally convinced he’s a long term solution but that’s miles better than pre Liverpool when I was convinced he wasn’t the answer to anything. Well done, more needed. |

Excellent today, MotM without a doubt. This is becoming a string of improving performances now and I’m pleased for him. Honest hard working player who struggled and got it wrong for a while but is now showing glimpses of what he’s capable of.
If Ole drops him and slots Pogba back into a 2 with McT when he’s fit it’s going to really piss me off. That’s when the doubts would start to become properly legitimate. Anyway, well done. |
