that is something special in the modern game, something to be deeply proud of. all of those players are bone fide club legends, life and soul of the club. be a sad day when any one of them packs it in.

at least there are others following in those footsteps who could approach those numbers:

o'shea 365 and counting
rooney 286 and counting
fletcher 261 and counting
Hopefully O'Shea doesn't go beyond 400.

I've never understood it - well I have in his last 20+ games, but people have been slagging him for years.

Pretty surprised at that JOS stat. Even Irwin only played something like 330 games, so fair play to Sheasey.

Irwin is 8th all-time. And played 200 more games than you have suggested.

I'm hoping he doesn't do it this season and is £#%&!ed off in the summer or even better, January.

We have no need for him anymore.

No way I'm giving Gary Nev any stick.

Has every right to play for as long as Fergie plays him.

Would you give up playing for United?

I thought he did enough towards the back end of last season to be in the world cup squad. Don't mind him playing as long a Rio, Vidic and Evra are fit and in form. I think Valenica's injury may mean that O'Shea gets the nod quite a bit as Nani doesn't offer as much protection and Fergie does trust O'Shea more than Raf and Gaz seemingly.

Never been a top red, only deal in facts borsers.

O'Shea is shit and is costing us goals weekly. Gets worse season by season. Him and his 'experience' can get to £#%&!.

who was the only outfield player to play in all of our record clean sheets last year.

£#%&!s sake, nobody is saying he's cafu but he's a very good £#%&!ing player.

he's worked his bollox off, progressed from being a reserve, to being on the fringes, to being a squad player and now to being a first team player.

i wouldn't imagine he's too far down the pecking order for captain either.

hope he stays for life.
