Part 36 Offer

Default Re: louis saha

saha bottled it towards the end at united. class act though.

jem used to slag him to the high heavens when he was constantly getting injured.

he also doesnt rate fletcher so think we all know his opinion is worthless.

Saha was a total flake and it was a relief when he went.

Ditto Tim Howard

He was a crock so it's no wonder we got rid however well he's playing. Shame though.

Can anyone explain why we weren't in for Anelka when Chelsea signed him? Seems a bargain now and was clearly the type of player we should have been looking for.

Yup. He would've been perfect at United.

What a stupid thing to say.

He was good enough for us. Evidentally.

What makes you say that? He's not been the difference between us and them because we've still won the league every year since he signed for them.

As for Saha, he could win the golden boot and I wouldn't regret getting rid. He was taking up one of our spots for strikers and could never be relied upon. So what if he does OK at Everton where there's less pressure, that's no indication that he would ever have been any good for us. Saha, the black Forlan.

Saha was and is a good player - and scored some great goals for us (a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea springs to mind) but, at the highest level, he had no balls... and he was injury prone... had we kept him he'd have been fit now ? What about the last 2 years?

A good premiership player but at the highest level? Naah.

£#%&! off. If John O'Shea is good enough to play for United, Saha was and is definitely good enough to play for United.

He was the big reason we started playing attractive football again after the borefest we used to be served up towards the end with RVN, and was the key to that first PremierShip win in the current run in 06/07. Class act. Had to move on though, bit like Paul McGrath had to move on and won player of the year after he left.

Superb footballer, when fit and confident he is as good as any striker in England. He would also be very well suited to playing a the lone striker in a 3, good in the air, pace in behind, can create a chance for himself or link up well with his team-mates.

His Utd career beyond any player in Fergies time is the most disappointing, wonderful talent, his body let him down and by the end he was mentally shot because of the the pressure.

So we should have waited the 2 years for him to be fit?

Would you start him ahead of Berbles or Rooney? Or Tevez last season? Course not...

especially if you're not even going to have welbeck and macheda on the bench.
if you want to finish in the top 10 of the prem , saha is your boy. if you want to win 4 trophies then he's no good to no one.
