He's got 6 months left on his contract, it doesn't do United much good to put him in the shop window.

So who are the two players going the other way?

Rojo would make sense and possibly Dalot on loan?

Hopefully not Dalot, he’ll be useful. Rojo and Mata/Bailly/Romero would work.

I'd happily sacrifice Dalot to get Fernandes.

Lad might have some potential, but he's another one who never seems fit.

Gomes with a buy back clause maybe?

Maybe it’s just one player and surely that has to be Rojo (sorry draggers).

True.

If Young leaves we'll have little cover at FB though, and Dalot can play wide right..

When he's fit.

That's the issue with understudies. You kinda need them to be fit more than you need them to be good.

Ashley Young is a good example. I don't like him as first choice, but don't mind him as back up as he's usually fit and solid enough.

Jones is another. Rojo. They can be decent on their day, but they cant be relied upon as back up because the minute you actually need them, the stupid bastards fall arse backwards into a wood chipper in training.

Perhaps it's the not playing regularly that causes them to be injured once they are fit and do occasionally play

Either way, Dalot gets the benefit of the doubt, for now, due to his age, for me.

In the case of Jones and Rojo, I wouldn't say so because they have been first choice and been Injury prone in their whole time here.

As for Dalot, I wouldn't be looking to sell him either, but if sacrificing him means getting Fernandes, then see ya!
